Frankston High School is enriched by a strong international perspective; one which values the harmonious diversity of cultures in the life of the school. We currently have approximately 30 International Students from Germany, Italy, France, Brazil, United States, South Africa, Japan, China, Vietnam and Cambodia.
Students are given the utmost care and assistance during their time at Frankston High School. From the moment they arrive on the plane to their final farewell, we work to ensure they feel comfortable, safe and happy. PRE DEPARTURE
Prior to leaving your home country, students and parents will receive a welcome pack with further information about the school, the local area and living in Australia. It will also include the homestay policy and costs of books and uniform. It will help answer your question about studying in Victoria.
AIRPORT ARRIVAL
A Frankston High School representative will welcome you at Melbourne airport and take you to your homestay family.
ORIENTATION
At the start of your Australia schooling experience you will participate in an orientation program where you will meet key staff members and given a tour of the school. You will be linked to existing students and given assistance with banking, public transport, medical needs, which enables easy transition into study and homestay life. You will be given a Student Handbook, with details about Australia, its customs and culture, the local area and school community.
CAREER COUNSELLING
We have friendly counselors to assist each student to achieve their potential at school and experienced staff to provide career advice.
ENGLISH LANGUAGE CENTRE
You will receive an Intensive English Language Program and ongoing English support throughout your studies at Frankston High School.
HOMESTAY
We provide experienced, caring homestay families who live in close proximity to the school, selected and supervised by Frankston High School. A homestay is an excellent way to improve your English and experience the Australia way of life. The Homestay provide a private bedroom with access to other shared areas of the home and three meals every day.
TRANSLATED REPORTS
Translated school reports are sent to parents every semester, if required.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
Many extracurricular activities like sport, music, drama, art and supervised trips around Melbourne and interstate are widely available to our International Students.
PART-TIME AND CASUAL WORK
